CNC Router

The self built router used in the workshop has a working envelope of 1200 x 1200 x 200 and is capable of 2.5 and 3 axis work. Utilising predominantly open source software it is used to cut complex profiles to shape

Small scale digital manufacturing is seen as a way of reducing CO2 emissions by enabling the production of a greater variety of goods for local markets.

CNC Projects

We can undertake CAD and modelling projects and prepare your ideas for computer aided manufacture and prototyping, or you can supply your own drawings or models in dxf, pdf, svg or stl file format and we will cut them. Recomended Open source graphics programs include LibreCAD, Inkscape, and for 3D modelling there is Blender or Art Of Illusion, all of which can produce digital files capable of being used, and all of which are free to download. Pease email if you would like more information.
